I have tried everything-- my 5 year old has I can t feel my legs I thought is was just pins and needles and would go away -- but it can last for hours. He also has trouble with his bowels -- his doesn t feel abowel movement coming on ad often has unpleasant accidents -- my pediatrician says there is nothing wrong with hi m but today he came home from kindergarten soiled from knees to mid back -- the school didn t call me or send him to the nurse -- I am dealing with the school, but I am desperate to diagnose his problem --
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic Regarding your son's experience with numbness of his legs with characteristic pin and niddle sensations I am suggesting strongly that he has developed a peripheral neuropathy to rule out hypocalcemia
In view of this please do the following test Peripheral angiography Serum thiamine level Serum calcium level Fasting blood sugar
Meanwhile please see a neurologist specialist with the results and for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
I hope this helps Regards
