General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Regarding your son's experience with numbness of his legs with characteristic pin and niddle sensations I am suggesting strongly that he has developed a peripheral neuropathy to rule out hypocalcemia

In view of this please do the following test
Peripheral angiography
Serum thiamine level
Serum calcium level
Fasting blood sugar

Meanwhile please see a neurologist specialist with the results and for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription

I hope this helps Regards
