General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Numbness after a seizure episode is common. This is because the seizure is an abnormal electrical activity in the brain lead to altered sensations. This might last for few seconds to few hours. Also, you said your fit is a week ago but there could silent seizures sometimes, hence you still has numbness.
It is also possible that the numbness could be a side effect of few seizure medications. If your symptoms do not reduce, kindly visit your doctor for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
