What Causes Numbness In Lower Leg While On Rantidine, Xeralto And Thyroxine?
My lower legs are very numb and feel thick upon arising. It improves during the day. There is no pain. I am taking Rantidine, Xeralto, thyroxine, vitamins, calcium and lutein. I have had muscle neurological tests did not suggest peripheral neuritis.
Xeralto can cause numbness in the legs in a few people. Literature that describes the relationship between these DOACs (Xeralto) and the occurrence of paraesthesia (numbness) is sparse. As you are taking thyroxine, means you are having hypothyroidism. So you need to check up your hypothyroidism is under control or not.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahendra Shivram Thakre, Internal Medicine Specialist

What Causes Numbness In Lower Leg While On Rantidine, Xeralto And Thyroxine?
Hi, These symptoms occur when your nerve are affected. This can happen due to less blood supply, toxins, vitamin deficiency, hypothyroid, diabetes, lumbar disc prolapse, some times drug-induced. Nerve conduction study is important in the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, but not always sensitive. Xeralto can cause numbness in the legs in a few people.
