Patient experiences a numbness in mouth and tounge , as a result has bitten the tounge several times. Is this serious ? The patient is a diabetic and was on Ecosprin. However off late he has not been taking Ecosprin . Patient is a diabetic for more than 10 years now.

People with diabetes can get numbness and tingling in the lips and tongue if their blood sugar drops too low (hypoglycemia). . chek his blood sugar to confirm it. hope this explains
