Hello and welcome to HCM,
Numbness of leg, ankle and foot is suggestive of a nerve related disorder.
Nerve injury, inflammation of nerve, irritation of nerve can lead to numbness.
Inability to raise foot or toes can be due to nerve related disorder or muscle related disorder.
However, an association with numbness increases the possibility of nerve related disorder.
Nerve conduction study is required to assess the functioning of nerves and thus its management.
In addition, assessment of the
spinal cord is also required since compression of nerves in
spinal canal is common and is responsible for similar symptoms.
Thus, I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Thanks and take care
