Hello,
You have a history of low vitamin D, you are suggested to spend more time in the sunlight. Take more tuna, mackerel, salmon. Mushrooms, fatty fish and sea food, eggs, liver, cheese, etc. Vitamin D deficiency causes
depression,
tingling or burning sensation in the hands, feet and toes.
Numbness and pins, and needle sensations. If diabetic control your blood glucose levels at all cost. Cold detection is also a feature of vitamin D deficiency.
Low vitamin D may trigger
diabetic peripheral neuropathy. It is good to know that your Nerve tests and CT, MRI had normal reports. Since you experience cervical and lumbar spasm get clinically examined by an orthopedics to rule out any developing pathology in the cervical or lumber spine. You will have to get few blood and Imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. In the meantime take food rich in
vitamin B1, B6, B12.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
