Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness In Taste Buds Post Chemotherapy For Tongue Cancer?
I Lost my taste. after tongue cancer I had 6 chemo and 35 radiation treatments.I have been done with treatments for 7 months and my taste comes and goes about a month ago for a week I had a pretty good taste for a few days and it fade away now I have very little taste.I called my Dr he said that is a good sign why does this happen.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, in chemotherapy such side effects are very common and this is not just in the tongue areas but this could exert some side effects in other part of body, but this is nothing to worry because condition may be reversible if this is just because of the radiation, hope this information helps, take care.
