What Causes Numbness In The Cheek And Difficulty Closing Eye?
dI'm asking for a non english speaker - The symptoms are dropping eyelid difficulty closing left eye and numbness in the cheek. I told her it sounds like a stroke and that she needs to go to hospital but she has no insurance. my email is YYYY@YYYY
Detailed answer- As per your query your symptoms of drooping eyelid, numbness of face and cheek area is because of injury to facial nerve or any pressure on facial nerve. If this numbness occur on legs, arms and on one half of the body then it could be because of stroke but now its the case of facial nerve damage. As Facial nerve supplies area around cheek, eye, upper lip and neck region.
I would suggest you to take antiviral drugs, steroids and go for facial exercises or facial physiotherapy. Your symptoms will resolve soon. Consult a neurologist once and get it diagnosed properly. Do blow out exercises for strengthening facial muscles.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
