What Causes Numbness In The Feet And Pain In The Heels?
For years I thought I had peripheral neuropathy because of a numbness feeling in both feet. My medical records show this condition. Recently upon massaging my heels I noticed a painful spot on the back of each heel. Yesterday a chiropractor said this was inflammation of the Achilles heel , ligament attaching the calf muscle resulting from plantar fasciitis. Want a opinion, neuropathy or inflammation or both?
Hi Went through your post, your concern is genuine because the two diagnosis are entirely different and treatment is also different, let me give you a solution. 1.planter facitis is inflammation and pain usually occurs once you get up in morning from bed place your feet on ground and this pain improves in an hour this is called gelling phenomenon 2. The pain of planter facitis improves with NSAIDS were as neuropathic pain does not 3.you can go for Power doppler USG of planter facia to look for its inflammation.
