i have had for a month slight knumbness in the left half of my face and lower part of left arm and hand. i had a CT scan and there are no Tumors or leasions. today i woke up and my whole right arm and left leg and foot are very knumb. I am a type two diabetes sufferer. what should I check next?
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You have numbness on face and arms. You have diabetes so first thing that should be ruled out is neuropathic conditions caused by poorly controlled sugar levels. Get your HbA1c levels checked to rule out any abnormal long term glucose levels.
Low vitamin B12, iron deficiency anaemia, hyperthyroidism etc are other common causes for such presentation. Please discuss with your doctor to rule out these conditions and get appropriate tests done.
If everything come normal then other possible reason for such presentation is anxiety. Visit a psychiatrist for help and treatment.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
