What Causes Numbness In The Left Arm While On Utovlan?
Hi I have been taken Utovlan for nearly 3 weeks and wondered if there is a set amount of time you can take it for? In the last few days I have had a numbness in my left foot and am worried. However I am already seeing a doctor for numbness in my left arm.. She is transferring me to a neurologist for it. But I noticed numbness is a side effect from Utovlan and that you should stop taking the tablet and speak to a doctor I need to keep taking it for a few more days but don t want to cause any serious damage to my body.
Usually, this is self-limiting and there is no specific cause but if this persists then various causes for arm numbness may persist like dehydration, diabetes, hypothyroidism, menopause, lack of B complex vitamins.
You may also have nerve compression problems which were suspected in your prior consultations which must have aggravated, however at what level it varies and needs clinical evaluation, with nerve conduction studies with or without MRI.
It is very common to get such types of numbness and pain in stress and in deep anxiety state, however, to be on the safe side, you should consult a doctor and get your cardiac status checked along with other relevant investigations for the causes as mentioned above.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
