What Causes Numbness In The Legs Upon Kneeling Down?

When I kneel down, or squat down to do something, my legs go numb and start to tingle very fast. Normally in about 10 seconds. I ve noticed this before in my hands and arms. If I lay down and hold something, am writing, or sometimes just general things, my hands and arms will go numb also. I wonder what could be causing this.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* For kneeling down position giving numbness in legs suggest possible nerve compression behind knee in popliteal fossa.
* The arm issue is likely from cervical spondylosis giving nerve compression symptoms.
* I recommend an evaluation with an expert Neurophysician for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
