What Causes Numbness In The Lips After Taking Amoxicillin?
Dentist prescribed amoxicillin 500mg for tooth infection advised to take 4 capsules by mouth immediatly then 1 every 8 hours. I took the 4 and then the one 8 hrs later and noticed my lip went numb for a min. is tis a side effect or a allergic reation
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain numbing of lip after taking Amoxicillin seems to be due to allergic reaction to Amoxicillin although not very commonly seen..
I would suggest you to continue taking the antibiotic as there does not seems to be anything serious but in case if there are any other symptoms like swelling, rashes, dizziness etc you should immediately consult an Emergency room and stop taking the medication..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
