What Causes Numbness In The Mouth After Taking Azo?

Hello I have a bladder infection my Dr has given me many different medicines but they have all given me bad reactions he said to try azo but as soon as I put a tablet in my mouth my tounge became numb so I didn t swallow it I spit it out is this normal

Hello,

You have symptoms of numbness in the mouth after taking Azo which seems to be due to an allergic reaction to one of the in-gradient and it is very common and could be due to the depopulation of the papilla. Need not to worry. I would suggest you avoid this particular medication.

You should avoid intake of sharp and spicy food and do warm saline gargles. Maintain cleanliness of the oral cavity. Visit the general physician once if symptoms keep on persisting, and go for a proper course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medications.
