What Causes Numbness In The Nose And Tingling Sensation On The Cheek?

I am a 56 year old female. I awoke during the night last night to find myself drooling (which I almost never do) and the sensation that my nose was very cold. Upon waking I realized my nose was partially numb and tingling along with my left cheek. Symptoms seemed to improve but now the numbness/tingling has returned in my left cheek. I don t have a a headache now but did have a mild headache earlier.

Hi..

Thanks for contacting HCM for health query..

You are a 56 years old female who has numbness nose and left cheek and drooling of saliva which is very unusual for you.

My thinking considering the clinical presentation,it could be,
(1) bad positioning of face in the night
(2) Problem of 7th cranial nerve.(facial palsy)
(3) transient reduced blood supply to brain
(4) problem of 5 th cranial nerve (trigeminal neuralgia,variant presentation)

Do not be panic.

Go for remedies like washing your face with warm water now and then and go on with facial exercises.Observe for symptoms with face and body.Look for skin lesions in face.

If problem,like any thing above comes.may be you need to meet a doing person and take opinion and investigations as he suggests
