Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness In The Right Thigh After A Laparoscopic Hysterectomy?
Two weeks ago I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy for early stage endometrial cancer. Since the surgery my right thigh has been numb with a burning sensation in the groin radiating into my right thigh. I went to the ER to rule out a blood clot as I have a history of DVT. The ER doctor felt sure the problem was related to the surgery possibly a clipped nerve. The problem is not getting any better. Could you give me your opinion? YYYY@YYYY
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think your problem is related to surgery. Maybe the operation site is still edematous or something went wrong.
You should consider visiting your gynecologist who did the intervention.
Best Regards.
