What Causes Numbness In The Toes?

Hello! I am 19 years old. Recently, I ve been getting random numbness in the middle toes on both of my feet. I ve also suffered from kidney stones for the last 7 years. Someone told me that problems in your kidneys can cause numbness in your toes... Could these things be related? I m beginning to worry about the toe numbness.

Hello,

Your symptoms do not seem to be related to the kidney stones. In my opinion, a pinched nerve (tarsal tunnel syndrome) can cause this clinical situation.

For this reason, I recommend performing nerve conduction studies. Other tests to consider would be : complete blood count for anemia, blood electrolytes for possible imbalance, vitamin D and vitamin B12 plasma levels for possible deficiency and uric acid plasma levels for possible deficiency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
