General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The numbness could be due to local inflammation following trauma/infection/lumber spondylitis/sciatic nerve entrapment/diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

You need local examination/needful investigations or imaging investigation of the lumbar spine.

Knowing exact cause would help specific management. Please consult your family physician for primary examination to be followed by referral to a specialist as per need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
