My son, age 49 is a teacher. Suddenly, while teaching a class last week, his lips and mouth went numb. He even wondered how he could still be speaking plainly. The kids didn't seem to notice. Then a strange numbness went down into his chest and radiated out into his arms. Going away soon afterward. What are your thoughts on this? I, his mother, am diabetic and sometimes have a feeling of energy drain and pressure in my upper arms for a few minutes. I consulted a dr who sent me for an EKG. It wasn't conclusive.
