What Causes Numbness On Forehead While Suffering From Somatoform Disorder?
Hello.sir my mother is suffering from Undifferentiated somatoform disorder. She has a medical history of 25 years. She used to visit several doctors for a long time for different problems and did not believe that she is fine even all her tests were normal. After all this I thought that there is something happening in her mind. So I searched it out and consulted a psychiatrist last year . He said its USD. She is on medications. She got some relief also. But now she feels so much numbness on her forehead but her psychiatrist says there is not any neurological problem. Now she denies to take psychiatric help and wants to consult a neurologist. Please help me!!!!! I am totally hopeless..
As per the symptoms narration, there sounds more of somatoform disorder best dealt with by an expert psychiatrist. However, if patient denies to take psychiatric help, and consult neurologist , it is the autonomy of patient for best decision whom to consult and take treatment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
