Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, One week ago I suddenly noticed the left side of my heel and foot were numb (mainly my heel). I do have some aching pain now and then. I am prediabetic, an ex athlete, but I haven t been very physically active lately. I did have a left ACL reconstruction in 1999. My back doesn t hurt nor do I have any pain in my body. I have never had any numbness issues in the past other than the area around my knee and leg where I got my ACL surgery. Thoughts?

What Causes Numbness On Left Side Of The Heel?
Hello, It could be due to minor nerve injury. As a first line management, you can apply warm compresses for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
