General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Numbness and pins and needles in the leg are very likely due to a nerve being pinched. This may happen while the nerve leaves the spine at the lower back or while it goes down the leg due to muscular tension in the areas it passes through.

It is important that you see your doctor and have a good physical examination, including a neurological examination. After this, the doctor will have a better understanding of the cause of your symptoms and what is the further treatment.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
