What Causes Numbness On The Left Side Of The Tongue?

I have had numbness on the left side of my tongue for a few months. As it has progressed, now it is extending to the left lower lip. I have had no dental work in the past year but occasionally have sinus drainage (slight) on the left and lymph nodes seem swollen on the left jaw/mandible. Any thoughts?

Dear sir
I have through your history as you mentioned that you had some dental work done in past and have numbness on one side of tongue there is possibility of lingual nerve irritation or injury which is causing numbness on one side of tongue, I would suggest that if the tooth on affected side is impacted or infected consult a dentist regarding same.
