What Causes Numerous Epithelial Cells?
hi this is birjees 31 years old married and fertility treatment that is ivf i m on injection gona f and cetrotid 0.25mg,i got my urine routine analysis it shows wbc 2 to 3 and epithelial cell 10 to 12..plz tell me why the epithelial cells are numerous my urine culture is also negative.

Based on your history and query my opinion is as follows
1. Epithelial cells in urine are not significant in your case.
2. If pus cells or RBCs are seen in significant numbers along with epithelial cells it indicates urinary tract infection or renal calculi.
3. Since epithelial cells is the only finding it is not of any concern as long as you are asymptomatic.
