What Causes Obstructed Defecation Despite A Surgery For Perianal Abscess?
I have had trouble with the feeling of incomplete evacuation of my bowels for at least the last 5 years. I am a 58 year old female. I exercise regularly and eat a well balanced high fiber diet. I recently had surgery for a perianal abscess with fistula. What do you recommend?

Regarding your experience with incomplete defecation following a previous surgery for perianal abscess with fistula I am suggesting that you have developed a post operative adhesions (fibrous tissues due to surgery) that are capable of blocking free flow of feaces
In view of this please see a gastroenterologist specialist for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
Meanwhile please continue with your dietary fibers and don't always take solid food and drinks plenty of water
