What Causes Occasional Chest Congestion Along With Green Phlegm In The Throat?
I have congestion in my chest on occasions and green thick mucus . I use Symbicort on occasions and it relives the cougestion. I might use it 2 or 3 times in a month?it does the job and just on occasions it will recur with this thick green mucus/then I am fine for several weeks.i have used albuterol inhhalations in past and it is ok but Symbicort on occasions seems to do better. I thought taking mucinex might help or sski drops on occasions but I have not tried it.i am a pharmacist retired / your thoughts/ no fever at all on this situation. Nor infection that I have observed/ ???

As per my clinical experience, the green phlegm is related to bacterial respiratory infection, which should be evaluated with sputum culture get antibiotic complete therapy and cured.
