What Causes Occasional Fainting Spells?

occasional (1-2 times per month) fainting spells and loss of conscious for short time. Diziness and sweating.during and after. Can always tell when it is going to happen. During testing a Dr pressed on my cortoid artery and became dizzy. Monitor flat line for 5 seconds. All tests so far are coming out normal . ANy suggestions?
