What Causes Occasional Left-sided Chest Pain?

I have had occasional left sided chest pain which lasts from 1-3 minutes. this morning it happened again. The last time this happened as about 2 weeks ago. It radiates up my neck. I feel panic but no real shortness of breath. Since it doesn t continue more than a few minutes should I worry?
