Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Occasional Pain In The Smallest Toe Of The Left Foot?
Since just a few months ago this had been occuring. When I walk, my pinky tow on the left foot hurts. There seems to be a massive scab on it, but it also looks like dried skin. When I bend my toes, that one moves to the side. It s very painful to walk on.
Very likely you are having corn or a callus on the small toe. This toe is very vulnerable to pressure from the shoes and may develop thickening of the skin and even corns and calluses.
A visit with the doctor will confirm the diagnosis and he will give you local treatment or may choose to remove the thickened skin or corn/callus. Wearing proper shoes that are not too tight is important as well.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
