My friend has odd facial expressions, especially when she drinks. She is also abnormally clumsy, simple trip and fall, spills glasses of beverage etc. she is in an exercise class with me an can not follow simple instructions. Absolutely NO coordination. Are these signs of an underlying issue?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many neurological conditions that may cause such a lack of coordination and symptoms. She needs to have a thorough neurological exam and then probably she may need a brain MRI to make sure there are no lesions present there. Only after a thorough examination and tests, the doctors will be able to determine the cause of her symptoms and further course of action to manage her symptoms and disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
