What Causes On And Off Cramps With Bloody Spotting In 38th Week Of Pregnancy?

Im 38 weeks pregnant and when i took a pee and when I wiped there was a some blood but wasn t in mucus. I think I have been losing my mucus plug for about a week now little by little but i don t know for sure. I have been cramping all day on and off the past hour it s been around every 5 minute for at least 15-20 seconds. Just wondering what I should do and if the blood is normal?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The blood and cramping may be an indication that your body may be getting ready to go into labor.

You should consider contacting your doctor for an assessment. He or she would do a vaginal and abdominal examination to determine if this is the case.
Would also assess the baby as well.

I hope this helps
