Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Onset Of Chills And Body Aches Along With High Fever?
I had a sudden onset of chills and extreme body aches that only lasted about 45 minutes. Also had a fever of 100.6. After the 45 minutes we re done the temperature went down chills and away and so did the body aches. This has happened in the past. What would you think causes these episodes?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of onset of chills and body aches along with high fever which could be due to infection either by viral or bacterial microorganism. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take combination of anti-inflammatory medication Cetirizine along with Ibuprofen. Take painkiller if backache is severe. Avoid intake of outside food. You should take Azithromycin as well as it could be the case of co-infection. Drink plenty of liquids. Visit General physician once and get it examined. Get blood tests done if symptoms keeps on persisting. Do tepid sponging as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
