What Causes Oozing Of Blood And Clear Liquid From The Wound?

Hi doctor....I fell down yesterday and had a horrible gash on my knee. It was bleeding a lot and we washed it off and tried to dress it.....but it got soaked with blood which eventually stuck onto my wound. It was very painful. We washed it again and tried putting on a really big bandaid but a liquid is continuously coming out with blood. I'm not hemophiliac. What can I do?
