What Causes Oozing Of Yellow Liquid From The Wound On Hand?
so, I fell two days ago and cut my hand open, the student nurse at my school said it seems a bit deep. ive noticed, now that im changing the bandaid on it, that theres whiteish yellowish stuff on it. it seems sticky and on the bandaid I can see it came off some. is it good or bad that that s there? if its bad should I try to clean it off? thanks.
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM. The yellowish oozing or discharge from the wound on your hand is suggestive of infection caused by bacteria most probably staphylococcus. Visit your treating doctor for possible culture and sensitivity of the discharge may be you need a course of antibiotics like Flucloxacillin or Clindamycin.
Kindly rate the answer if you are convinced. Take care
