Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Oozing, Redness And Itching Post Op Breast Reduction?
I had breast reduction done 4 weeks ago about 2 weeks into healing my right breast split and turned red and puffy with lots of oozing. 4 days ago my face broke out into a red rash that has bumps all over it and swelling.. this spread to my left ear and it swelled up huge. Tonight I noticed it has spread to my right ear and onto my left eye. At first I thought this was an allergic reaction now I am not so sure. It is very itchy and painful at the same time I am tired and have a nasty headache with no appitite
From the symptoms you had mentioned, it appears to be of sudden onset. That on your face may be allergic reaction to food or any medication. But the gaping, redness and oozing of right breast post surgery is to be taken seriously. Please consult the surgeon who performed your surgery. Please do it as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
