What Causes Oral Wart On The Tip Of The Tongue?

I have a small whitish dot on the tip of the tongue...don t notice it most of the time, a few years ago, the dentist s assistant pointed it out as an oral wort and to just keep an eye on it. It s been over 3 years and it hasn t changed, but I read something recently that said white dots at the back of the tongue could be HPV, which of course, freaked me out! Sometimes it gets a little tender feeling, but for the most part is just there and so small, most wouldn t even notice it.

Hi,
Looking to the history you gave, since it is there for 3 years without any change, it may be a benign lesion. Do you have any tobacco habits? If so, you must get it biopsied, at least to be sure of the benign condition.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
