What Causes Orange Coloured Urination While Suffering From Gout?

My brother has been having sever Gout in him left hand and left foot. He was on Colchicine for almost 3 months he got better so we stopped it as it was causing stomach issue and now a couple of weeks later its back. He is on a lot of heart medications and Psychiatric med. s so we have to watch what we mix with all the med. s he is on? For some reason this Gout issue has been a problem as before he was fine. Thinking it has a lot to do with diet so we are trying to watch that. I am thinking the Gout or the medication is causing him some kidney issues? He seems to have dark reddish orange color urine again as this started with the first round of Gout issue and was treated with antibiotic but is back again with the Gout flare up.

The pathology of Gout is due to storage of urate crystals in the cutis and subcutis of the skin. Of course You have to watch if in his medication is pyracinamide or diuretics, which is given for high blood pressure. The choice of prophylaxis is colchicine or naproxen. In this case I recommend you to check the urate blood level and renal parameters by the doctor before starting another medication. The diet is also the best way to avoid it like not to much meat, no alcohol.
