What Causes Outbreak Of Abscess Post Infusion Of Heroin?
ive a few bad abcess s from injecting into the finger, im in alot of pain but too scared to go seek help im not a drug addict i use unisom sleep gels on a monthly basis ive bad veins due to my past drug addiction with heroin ive been clean for 4 to 5 years and currently on methadone 115mg and been doing really well but this unisom seems to have destroyed parts of the body witch im really concernd and scared about, back in 2008 i was injecting this into my groin till i got a clot....i stopped but for some silly reason had remembered n loved that feeling n now its becoming a problem.... not sure were to turn what to do, im a personal carer, well i was.... but out of work due to health and other personal issues so ive been dressing and doing my best to keep it as clean as possible.....
Immunosupression is quite common when heroin use and it may be the reason for widespread abscess. Surgical drainage will be the treatment of choice.Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
