Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain
excessive salivation can be felt due to 2 reasons like:
1.Reduced swallowing.
2.Increased salivation.
Reduced salivation can occur due to causes like
Throat infection,
tonsillitis,
retropharyngeal abscess while causes like Parkinsonism, Myesthenia gravis etc can be a cause..
Increased salivation also known as Sialorrhea or water brash can occur due to cause like oral and dental infections, excess starch intake,
acid reflux, oral ulcers, side effects of medication, metal toxicity etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be referred to appropriate specialist as per the suspected cause..
Treatment of underlying cause can help in resolution..
As of now you can gargle with antiseptic mouthwash 3 to 4 times a day and brush your teeth twice a day as these have a drying effect in mouth..
You can also be advised anti cholinergic drugs by the physician to reduce salivation..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
