Hello!
I have been through your question!
According your symptoms I think you should know that cortifoam is a cortico steroid drug (hydrocortisone) that reduce the inflammation in your body, and as all the steroid drugs could have some side effects. Side effects associated with duration of corticosteroid therapy include those occurring during short-term therapy (up to three weeks) or those occurring during long-term therapy (greater than three weeks). So. in your case these symptoms like loos stool with mucus and pain in your lower left side above the hip bone could be related with this drug or with your pathology (colitis) that normaly can have these symptoms. I suggest to talk with a gastroenterologist , to do a abdominal echo ( to exclude renal problem)and not to stop the cortifoam immediately.
I hope my answer help you.
I wish you a quick recovery.
