Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good afternoon, For a couple of days (worse today) I have some pain right above the pelvis favoring the left side (my left). Hurts a little when I begin to move from sitting position or when I walk. Pain level is tolerable for me maybe a 3. When I lay down on my back a bit more noticeable and very sensitive when I press on the area. Sharper pain when I press on it. Maybe a little more urgency to urinate though not overwhelming urge. No noticeable blood in urine, and no significant cloudiness or discoloration. I am assuming bladder infection. Your thoughts?
In bladder infection burning pain present during micturition. Urine routine microscopic examination also shows presence of pus cells and bacteria in bladder infection. So you are not having bladder infection. It could be diverticulitis like inflammation pathology of gastrointestinal tract. I suggest you to investigate with ultrasonography of abdomen for further work up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
