What Causes Pain Across The Shoulders Upon Swallowing After A Head Injury?

I fell and hit my head on the night table. I have a cut over my left I and I must have hit my nose too. My right eye is blackened and the skin is sagging under it. I must have strained my neck as it is sore in the centre and across the shoulders and it hurts when I swallow.

I read your question completely and have understood it well
I being a surgeon, would take your injury a little bit on a serious note.
Because of the following reasons..

1. You mentioned black eye, which Is an indicator of internal bleed. Which is bad.
2. Neck related issues, is it meningitis!?

I am not trying to scare you friend but, I need to know your age.
And then there exists these possibilities.

1. The nature of injury and
2. The magnitude..
If injury is real bad then, you need to worry.

If you are young with no co morbidities, then you need not worry. But make sure you take proper rest.
If old age, then internal hemorrhage chances are very high. And this is not good..

I strongly recommend you to get a CT scan of brain,plain.
This will clear all the doubts and we can plan for further management.
