What Causes Pain And Bloating In Abdomen?

I have abdominal pain in the upper part of my stomach and the lower right part of my stomach as well. I m bloated and unable to pass gas and have not had a solid bowel in about 12 hours. I have taken pepto bismol and 2 gas pills with no relief. What could possibly be wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I understand your concern.
Abdominal pain and unable to pass gas is due to spasm of the smooth muscle of your intestine, may be due to some irritant food or infection. My advice is you take tab Hyoscine twice daily for 3 days under your physicians advice. Also take tab famotidine twice daily, tab metronidazole thrice daily, tab Aceclofenac twice daily for three days. This will reduce your pain and treat abdominal infection.
Drink ORS as and when you feel thirty, eat curd or drink buttermilk. Avoid eating spicy and fried foods.
Hope this will help you.
