What Causes Pain And Bloating In The Abdomen?

I woke with a stomach ache this morning and it got worse during the day. This evening it extends from my chest area to my abdomen. I have IBS but this is entirely different. I have no fever, no constipation and have eaten very little. Do I need to worry?

Hello,

IBS is an irritable bowel syndrome in which spicy or heavy food consumption leads to improper digestion and problems related to it. So, it is not different thing than your symptoms.

Pain and bloating is due to indigestion. So, it is better to keep in mind following advice:

- Avoid spicy and oily food
- Avoid smoking as it will aggregate IBS.
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Do regular exercise
- Take light and easy to digest fruit and vegetables in regular diet

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
