What Causes Pain And Bloating In The Abdomen?

A Doc about 7 years ago seemed to think I have Divertulosis. Have changed diet significantly, and I ve been doing pretty well, but I m having a really bad episode, and have had for the last 2 days. Symtoms are: a huge headache that has not gone away with ibuprophen (as it usually does) Huge Bloated tummy, shivers, muscle pain in arms and legs and overall lower abdominal pain: seems to be a little worse on the right side. Also, no appetite.

Hello,

I feel you have gastritis or acid peptic disease. You need to follow some lifestyle tips which are:

1. Do not eat spicy food.
2. Take medicines for gastritis like Pantop/Omez/Rantac.
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Do Breakfast around 8 am, small snack at 11 am, lunch at 1 pm, small snack at 4 pm and dinner at 8 pm.
4. Drink plenty of water.
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea.
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis.
7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day.
8. Learn meditation techniques.
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit.
