What Causes Pain And Bruising On The Toes After An Injury?

Hi, I stubbed my toe badly several days again and it was so painful I can t walk on it. It bled a little and it s bruised badly around the toe and the toe nail itself is like blue and black. Today I noticed there s like a liquid oozing out that has a slight odor and it looks clear but has a hint of blood. Is that normal?

Hello,

It looks like the repeated trauma to the toe, might have lead to infection of around the toe nail. It needs to be properly cleaned and dressed, so that no further dust enters there and aggravates the condition. Plus there may be a need to take a course of an antibacterial drug for 5 to 7 days to get rid of the infection. Also please ensure that there is no repeat injury till the whole thing heals completely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
