What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation During Bowel Movements?

Hello Dr..My mom is suffering from pain + burning sensation which passing on stool. She us currently applying smuth ointment & taking cremalax tablets once a day. Kindly advice any tablets for her burning sensation and pain and to pass stool without any problem.

It might be due to gastritis. She can start on antacids like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole for symptomatic relief. Avoid spicy foods and take laxative syrups like Lactulose for smoothen the bowel movements. If symptoms persist it is better to consult a gastroenterologist and do a colonoscopy and endoscopy.
