What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation During Urination?
my husband (78yr. old) has a bladder infection - was started on cipro this morning and had one tonight also. He has probably had this for a month and during that time has had episodes of spiking a temp along with the chills which last about 15 min. with very intense shaking all over and gagging - he can hardly talk he is shaking so very hard. The nurse practitioner did not draw blood this morning - should I take him in the morning to have blood drawn to see what his electrolytes are (I ve been pushing fluids) but fear he is probably dehydrated and am thinking maybe he needs a bag of fluids. He never complained to me about burning or pain when voiding until today when I asked him direct - he just said this past month hes been having frequency and I thought it might be an enlarged prostate. He has an appointment with his primary Dr. the first of June and thought we d wait until then to discuss it until I realized today that he has a bladder infection which has by now gone to his kidney.
