What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In The Hips?

About 6 weeks ago after a run my right hip would burn. This pain has gradually started to linger. This past weekend it progressed to moderately painful. The pain burns at my hip and aches down my leg. I have a hard time sitting and putting my right shoe on.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
According to your history there're two possibilities.
The first that you might have caused an injury to the muscles or tendons around your hip by a wrong movement.
The second possibility that you injured your knee, which is responsible for the pain and radiates to your hip.
In both cases you need to put that leg at rest and avoid any unnecessary moves, you can use anti-inflammatory medication like Diclofenac and muscle relaxant medication along with using an Omeprazole to protect your stomach.
If the pain persists or increases you should visit a doctor for further examination to make sure that the bone is not injured.

Hope I answered your question
Wish you a speedy recovery
Best regards
