What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In The Legs?

In janauary I suffered major pain, burning and what describe as the strongest and longest muscle cramp in my leg hamstring and then my calf. MRI showed I had a herniated disc , L 5 and jell leak on my nerve. Afte 2 weeks of mess and some physical therapy it finally subsided. But since then, my calf seemed to have swelled, where the calf muscle feels like it s in a constant flexed muscle . When I walk, I walk with a slight limp. Almost flat footed.i have the motion skills in the foot, but the one thing I can not do is to stand on that 1 leg and goes on my toes to raise my body. Its almost 2 months and still can t do it. I believe this is causing my flat footed walking. Could the nerve affect the calf muscle like this and is there an exercise to try and get the muscle to return to normal? Joe. Thanks. YYYY@YYYY
